Nice to meet you!

My name is Wynand Theron. I am from Cape Town, South Africa and I am a Web developer.

After finishing school, I had to make the usual decisions that would affect my whole future. No pressure right?
Long story short, I chose the wrong direction and ended up with a Bachelors of Science degree that left me with a job as a sales assistant in a camping goods store. I was not a Happy guy.

Two years passed and I went back to College. This time I did a little more research and I figured that a qualification in marketing would certainly land me a job, and this is where my coding journey began. While I was applying for vacancies, I noticed a well-paying job with a single line in the requirements that would change my life – “knowledge of HTML/CSS beneficial”

I knew I would not be able to afford to go back to University, as I still owed A LOT of money for my first degree. So I did what any normal person would do, I googled “Learn HTML free online” and I discovered Codecademy and FreeCodeCamp. I forgot about Biology. I forgot about camping and I forgot about marketing. I fell in love with coding faster than you could say “Hello World”.
